a place where you will feel at home, immersed in an authentic experience of sharing and conviviality, blending local living, a deep connection with nature, and a daily rhythm shaped by agriculture, garden flavors, and the presence of the house cats—friendly yet ever-present companions, something to consider for those with allergies
The Citrina house takes its name from the many orange and lemon trees surrounding it and the distant sea view.
Built in 2018, this family home, along with its traditional palheiro, offers four charming guest rooms nestled in a lush garden filled with a vegetable patch and citrus orchards. Its welcoming layout naturally encourages sharing and conviviality.
At the heart of the house, the central living space is designed for connection and shared moments. With its large glass doors opening onto the garden, the room is bathed in natural light and offers a seamless connection to nature.
It features a spacious kitchen with a central island, perfect for cooking together while chatting, a large solid wood table seating up to ten guests, and a cozy lounge area with a wood-burning stove and guitars available for music lovers.
Originally, the Citrina house was designed as a family home where Camille and Marco raised their four children. Now, with their three eldest having left the nest, the once-empty rooms have been transformed into guest accommodations, offering travelers a warm and welcoming space.
Opening the house to visitors not only keeps it alive but also helps support their children's education, while sharing an authentic lifestyle rooted in nature and hospitality.
The house offers four guest rooms, each with a unique setup to accommodate both families and couples:
The Toranja and Laranja rooms are ideal for families, while Limão and Mandarina provide a more intimate retreat for couples.
